The Keeler Fibre Optic Otoscope is a premium product used by ENT professionals and specialists, it transmits light via optic fibres for homogeneous illumination, leading to clear and accurate aural diagnosis. This otoscope is now available with LED illumination, in addition to the existing halogen bulb model. This set is completed with the Practitioner Ophthalmoscope (the popular choice for hospital and Gen Med use), the devices are powered by a 3.6V lithium-ion batteries in the handle, which are recharged through a desk, or wall-mounted, double charging unit.
Practitioner ophthalmoscope features:
- Available with either LED or xenon bulb illumination
- The positive maywheel lens control allows you to select a range of lens powers from +40D to -25D for detailed examination of the ocular structures
- Includes 4 apertures beams (wide angle, intermediate, macular and slit) and a fixation cross graticule
- Includes 2 filters: a blue filter for assessing corneal scratches in children, and a red free filter for vessel examination, ideal for diabetic assessment and monitoring
- Soft integral brow rest for spectacle wearers
Fibre Optic otoscope features:
- Fibre Optic otoscope with LED illumination module (Keeler’s brightest light (3x brighter light patch, lux measurement, vs. the LED Practitioner otoscope)
- The well-established “golden illumination” of the halogen bulb remains available
- Large head design for unobstructed view
- Large slide aside 2.5x lens for clear view of aural structures and foreign body removal procedures under magnification
- Closed head system ideally suited to pneumatic testing for tympanic mobility
- Can be used with either permanent or disposable specula
- Handles with Red Caps are 3.6V models, which accept rechargeable 3.6V Lithium Battery and are compatible with both LED and bulbs illumination
Double Charging Unit
- Lithium-ion battery provides over 2 hours continuous use from a 2 hour rapid charge
- LEDs on the charging unit indicate when battery life is low, charging or fully charged
- Can be desk or wall mounted to suit your needs
