Announcing EyeNews ANTS competition 2026 winners!
We’re thrilled to share the results of the Eye News ANTS Imaging Competition 2026, proudly sponsored by Keeler, with our Head of Clinical Education, Nicola Bennett, serving as a judge. This competition is aimed at promoting and celebrating the excellence in slit-lamp imaging, offering prizes for three winners and publication in Eye News’ annual imaging supplement.
The response was overwhelming, and the quality of submissions truly speaks for itself. We are proud to recognise the winners, runners-up, and honourable mentions, along with insights from our esteemed panel of judges: Richard Bell, Rosalyn Painter, Nicola Bennett, and Hamza Mussa.

Reflecting on his experience judging the competition, Richard Bell, Senior Medical Photographer and Ophthalmic Research Coordinator at the Newcastle Eye Centre (NEC)said:
“As one of the competition’s judges, ‘astonishing’ was the first word that sprung to me as I looked through the photographs. It was quite difficult to select not just the winning submission but also the runners-up and third place winners. There are a lot of things to consider while judging a photography competition, such as composition, exposure, focusing, meticulousness, and accurate interpretation of the brief. A huge thank you to everyone who entered and made this a fun competition to judge; every entry did just that, and it was an absolute pleasure to judge.”
Our Head of Clinical Education and Insights at Keeler, Nicola Bennet also said, “It was a real pleasure to be part of the judging panel for this year’s ANTS Imaging Competition.
