Local assembly and service excellence in the US – what does it mean for customers?
Keeler
We’re thrilled to mark an important milestone in our journey of bringing Keeler’s global expertise closer to our US customers. It’s been two years since weexpanded our assembly capabilities in the United States, and we have some exciting achievements to share!
Enhanced US support
While we continue to manufacture our premium ophthalmic equipment in the UK, 2024 saw the launch of optical assembly of our Vantage Plus and All Pupil II in America. This empowers us to offer complete support to our US and Latin America regions, from meticulous assembly to dedicated aftercare and servicing, all within the US.
We’re especially proud to announce that our dedicated US team have now carefully assembled over 11,500 Vantage Plus and All Pupil II binocular indirects, with 5,000 assembled last year alone!
This strategic shift has created numerous positive impacts:
Better for the planet
We’ve significantly reduced our carbon footprint by streamlining our supply chain and cutting transportation needs. This change alone saves approximately 12.1 carbon tonnes every year, which is the equivalent to saving 500 trees or driving 30,000 fewer miles in your car.Find out more about how we’re committed to reducing our carbon footprint and overall impact on the planet.
Faster lead times and enhanced supply chain stability
With local assembly operations, we’ve been able to substantially reduce delivery timeframes for our US and Latin American customers, ensuring they receive their essential equipment when they need it.
Our localised approach has made us less susceptible to international shipping delays, tariff impacts, and global supply chain disruptions, ensuring consistent product availability for our customers.
Complete local service capabilities
We’realso proud that100% of BIO repairs in North Americahappen locally at our office in Malvern, Pennsylvania. This means nothing needs to be shipped overseas for servicing, providing faster turnaround times and minimising downtime for practitioners. Our technical team’s local expertise means your Keeler equipment stays in America for any servicing needs.
A tradition of excellence
Keeler has a long-standing legacy of excellence in optical innovation, particularly with our binocular indirect ophthalmoscopes. We’re proud to manufacture and assemble our instruments in the UK and USA, providing eyecare professionals with the highest quality devices, ensuring optical precision and reliability in every product.
Our commitment to innovation and quality has made us a trusted name in the industry, and because we know that everyone needs a little help from time-to-time, our unmatched customer and technical support teams are ready whenever you need them.
This expansion in our US operations exemplifies our dedication to excellence. We’d like to congratulate our team on reaching such an impressive milestone after just one year, with special thanks to Patty Nanthaphak, Joe Meredith, and Joe Palma Jr. for their continued dedication to the range.
